Himsworths Legal was set up in 2012 by Matt Himsworth following 10 years at media law practice Schillings. Matt was joined by former Schillings colleague Jessica Lovell in January 2014. Former Taylor Wessing solicitor, Lorna Caddy, completed the team in May 2015.
Having worked with some of the most high profile individuals and companies in the world of entertainment, sport and business the focus of Himsworths is on protecting reputations and rights in the industry through retained relationships, consultancy and legal tools.
The firm’s clients come from a diverse range of industries and backgrounds. Himsworths’ approach is pragmatic, using established laws such as defamation, privacy, confidence, copyright and harassment, as well as advising on proactive and practical measures to avoid reputational damage and unfair intrusion, with particular focus on online threats and social media.
Himsworths work on a retained basis with companies in a number of sectors – including Premier League football clubs, Hedge Funds, telecommunications and technology companies and sports unions – and advise on contractual and dispute matters as well as reputational issues.
